Condolences

Condolence From: Jenn Gignac
Condolence: I worked with John at Queen Victoria Public School for many years. Like so many others, I too, had the pleasure of chatting with John often about his loves of golf and gardening. John was a kind-hearted soul, who made a real difference in lives of the students and staff fortunate to work with him. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

Condolence: I had the great fortune to working with John for many years before his retirement at QVPS. He was such a kind soul who always had a great way with even the most unique student. His sense of humor was second to none. I recall many conversations about snowmobiling and golf. RIP John! (Sharon - Teacher)

At QVPS I keep all the past staff members on an extended mailing list. Here are a few e-mail messages I received in response to John's passing.

I clearly remember John Jewell from my time at QVPS. Very sad.
Jo-Ann Seidel (Secretary)

Such Sad news. I was privileged to have worked with John when I was Principal at Oakwood. His role back then, was that of an Educational Assistant, assigned to one of our wheelchair students. John was a soft-spoken individual, always polite and thoughtful, had a very responsible and respectful attitude towards his work with special Needs individuals, and his fellow staff members. John will be missed by all who knew him.
Bruce Peck, {Debbie's husband.}

Condolence: I was very sorry to hear of John's death. He was a good man who had a kind and quiet way about him, when working with the kids at Queen Victoria PS. He was very committed to them, and to our Queen Vic school community. John and I had many early morning chats about gardening, his visits with his brothers, and his love of golf! He often had a joke and was always polite, helpful, and friendly. We have missed him since he retired and are sadddened to hear of his death. My condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Condolence: I had the pleasure of working with John several times in my classroom at Queen Victoria. He was unfailingly supportive and considerate towards everyone at our school. He loved working with the students, and was always so pleased when they were successful. He brought me V8 juice from the corner store every day when the afternoon began. It was those little daily kindnesses that made up the total of the sweet and caring gentleman that John was. My condolences to John’s family.
