Doris Lytle
October 3rd, 1936 – August 31st, 2018
“Doris would like to let you know that after 81 years her work here is done. She received a call, a sort of an offer she couldn’t refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This adventure reunited her with family and friends she has not seen in a long time. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be baking, socializing, dancing, gardening and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed. She left instructions for her children to celebrate her life here. Low adherence to this instruction will not be tolerated.”
Loving mother of Dan Lytle (Debara) of Keene, Susan Lytle (Jeff) of Toronto, Doug Lytle (Lorrie) of Kirkfield and Katherine McInnis of Mississauga. Cherished grandmother of Shannon, Brendan (Kathleen), Taylor, Jeremy, Cody (Katie), Cameron, Adam and Nicholas and Grandma Doris of Ashlee and family, Jadyn (Emma). Dear sister of June Walmsley (Ron) of Toronto. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. In keeping with Doris' wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to join us in remembrance at the KIRKFIELD HISTORICAL SOCIETY (previously St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church) on Saturday, September 22nd at 1:30 P.M. The service will be immediately followed by a celebration of her life at the Kirkfield Lions Hall. Food and refreshments will be available.
If desired, memorial donations to the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Bolsover, The Alzheimer Society or the foundation of your choice would be appreciated by the family and may be arranged through the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205).
