It is with deep and profound sadness to announce the passing of Paul Bailey in his 78th year. Paul Winston Bailey passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, December 12th, 2018. Born, July 8th, 1941, he was the son of the late Victor and Evelyn Bailey. The “Mayor of Cambray” is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 55 years, Carol (nee Moore); daughter Angie (Harry); son Darren (Cheryl); and Poppa of Evan, Candace, Claire, Emily and Liam. Paul will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by his brothers Ralph (Eleanor) and Brian (Wilma); brothers-in-law Gerald (Pat) and Carmen (Teresa) Moore and sisters-in-law Crystal (Robert) Oliver and Karen Moore. Uncle Paul was known as one in a million to his nieces and nephews. Paul has left a legacy of unique humour and compassion for his fellow man. A multi-talented licensed barber and carpenter, his work was a labour of love, as was his love of music, fiddle and piano playing and the great game of curling. His trademark wit and regular visits to the coffee shops will be remembered by many. His tool belt has been hung up, and the barber shop closed for now but his memory will live on. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the STODDART FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 24 Mill St., Lindsay K9V 2L1 (705-324-3205) on Sunday, December 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and on Monday, December 17 at the Cambray Community United Church from 1:00 P.M. until time of funeral service at 2:00 P.M. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Association of Canada or the Cambray Community United Church-Furnace Fund would be appreciated by the family.
