BALLAM, George Angus (Geordie was born on the farm at Victoria Road on Thursday, August 12, 1926 and long time dedicated employee of Canada Wire & Cable) - while surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. George, in his 93rd year, formally of Toronto and resided at Adelaide Place with his late wife Ethel (nee Green 2017). Loving husband of over 65 years, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Dear son of the late Thomas and Annie Ballam. Cherished father of Donna (Doug) MacMillan and Tom (Vicki) Ballam. Treasured grandfather of Jenny (Matt), Rachel (Jen), Kevin (Kelly), Jeffrey (Lea) and great grandfather of Nathaniel, Declan, Charlotte and Taylor. Dear brother of Ralph (Ann) Ballam, Bob Ballam, Barbara (Bill) Kennedy, Helen Powell, Doreen Nelson, Bill Ballam and sister-in-law Eudea Ballam. Predeceased by his brothers John, Roger, James and Lorne, by his sisters Velma Truax and Ruth McPhail and by his sisters-in-law Mary and Janet Ballam and by his brothers-in-law Clarence McPhail and Roy Truax. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and by the Green family. Dad and mom were happily married for over 65 years and travelled to many places together. Dad was an avid bowler, bean bagger, and enjoyed playing shuffleboard and he really enjoyed listening to the Shamrockers. We will miss him dearly.
