To your family Lance, I must say I offer my deepest sympathies. I moved away and just found out about your passing and it brought me to tears. It’s always after someone is gone that we have the “I should have” thoughts. You were one of the good ones, Lance. Kind, compassionate, understanding. You were a friend, a listening ear and great company. You will be truly missed. I wish I had come to see you after I moved. Luv ya big guy.

Dear Lance, Michelle and family...

We are all very sorry to hear of your loss. As Cindy and I and Hilary all know - no matter at what age and no matter how prepared you think you are, the loss of your father is a deeply moving event.

Lance - I thought when reading your aunt Lisa's post below, how much this also sounded like you - from a drink with the buddies, to hard working with now your own successful business - from a loyal friend who would give you the shirt off his back to a "always-a-Ford" man. I know he would be proud of you as much as we all know how much you will miss him.

our condolences - Steve, Hilary and Hannah - Cindy, Colton, and Shawna

I am Lance's youngest sister Lisa. There was 6 kids in our family. I remember years ago my brother Lance would be the life of the party. Having a beer with his buddies, dancing to Johnny Horton. Never caring what anyone thought of him. He was a Ford man and you couldn't convince him any other make was any good. He was a hard working man with his own successful siding business. He loved his kids and his grandkids. He was a loyal friend and a loyal brother and if he considered you his friend he would give you the shirt off his back. He was our oldest brother and we looked up to him for advise after our parents passed on. Unfortunately Lance got the same (bowel) cancer our mother died of. In his last few years of life he suffered from depression. Now there is 5 of us left. The only comfort I get is knowing my big brother is not suffering anymore.
